DESCRIPTION:  \nThis exhibition will open for Black History Month in February 2027 and close out at the end of March 2027\, in celebration of Women’s History Month. \nCurator & Designer Talk\, family car photo stories opportunities\, and a Black women in Michigan panel discussion will also be held in conjunction with this exhibition. Stay tuned for details. \nKalamazoo Valley Museum is one of the sponsors of the exhibition. DESCRIPTION:Created by the Merze Tate Explorers\, a Kalamazoo-based youth media organization\, the multimedia exhibition features nearly three dozen historic and reimagined photographs that explore Black women’s history through the lens of cars\, travel\, courage\, mobility\, and freedom.  \nThe exhibition will remain on display at the Gilmore Car Museum through Sept. 30 before traveling to additional locations across Michigan. \nAdmission to the car museum is required.
